A true son of the Apostolic Movement, Pastor Jonathan “Jon” Marshall, is one of the prophetic voices in the earth realm, called to bring the Gospel of hope and transformation to God’s people in these last days.

Pastor Jon was born in Savannah, Georgia, to Brother Charles and Co-Pastor, Jestine Marshall.  He currently resides in Atlanta Georgia with his lovely wife, Lady Kara Grier Marshall, a gifted praise, and worship leader who diligently works by his side in ministry.

During his formative years, Pastor Jon’s parents instilled strong moral and Christian values in him which have certainly anchored his views on life and taught him how to appreciate and understand the differences of the people whom God has blessed him tot each and serve both in church and community.

After completing high school, Pastor Jon enrolled in Morehouse College, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in International Studies.  He later attended Concordia University in Portland, where he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Educational Curriculum and Leadership. His multidisciplinary education has helped him professionally as a first-grade teacher in the Atlanta Public School (APS) School System and has also been a strategic advantage in his ministerial calling.

In 2011, Pastor Jon founded the City of Champions (COC) Full Gospel Church, as a house of worship for all people.  His vision was “to reach the lost at any cost” and “to give the underdog a chance.” Today, the City of Champions is known as the people’s church, where God is great in YOU. Pastor Jon is the Organizer and President of the Lion of Judah Youth and Young Adult Ministry Conference, and the City of Champions Fall Family Conference, both which are held annually in Atlanta, Georgia. It was during these two conferences when the City of Champions Full Gospel Church was envisioned and birthed.

Before becoming a senior pastor, Pastor Marshall served as youth pastor for two distinct church fellowships: (1) President of the Young People Willing Workers (YPWW),at the Church of God in Christ for the Judah District under Bishop Michael and Desiree Wilson; and (2) Founding Youth Pastor for Generation V. Ministry.

Pastor Jon also served as Vice President Emeritus for the Missing Link Ministerial Alliance of Atlanta.

In April of 2006,Pastor Jon was ordained as an Elder, by the National Church of Godin Christ, Inc., Memphis, Tennessee, also under Bishop Michael Wilson. He was re-ordained and affirmed by Apostle Sylvia Cunningham and Bishop Richie Carrol of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Pastor Jon has been privileged to preach and teach in churches, tabernacles, and Jewish synagogues alike. Additionally, he has been blessed with the opportunity to minister in the West Indies (Commonwealth of the Bahamas), and Central America (Costa Rica), while on student exchange program for friends and students. He has been the guest speaker on numerous blogs, talk shows, radio live, and has been hosted on Atlanta’s TV 57.  Pastor Jon has received numerous awards and recognition from educational and religious settings.
